As a primary care program director, I am constantly seeking out comprehensive and easy to navigate texts that our residents can use as quick references, or for deeper dives. This atlas does all that. I've used it for my own learning, for preparing talks, for studying for the boards, and for helping our residents interested in expanding their dermatology knowledge and experience. It's impossible for us to be able to expose them to the breadth and depth of normal and abnormal skin findings they will see as PCPs during their residency, and this atlas more than helps me bridge that gap for them. Definitely worth the price!

I have used "Andrews' Diseases of the Skin" as my primary go-to reference for all of my 35 years in clinical dermatology. The text is well written, concise, complete, and continually updated. This "Clinical Atlas" complements that textbook with over 3000 high quality representative photographs. As the photographs in "Clinical Atlas" are organized to mirror the chapters in Andrews' Diseases of the Skin", this atlas is a valuable adjunct to that text. In addition, it is a great stand alone resource. Dermatology is a visual specialty. Here you are looking through the lens of expert clinical dermatologists. There is much to be learned. If you are treating diseases of the skin, you will enjoy "Clinical Atlas" and find it useful.

This is simply the best atlas of dermatologic disease I have ever seen. The photos were obviously chosen with not only expertise but with loving care. Most show typical and instructive skin findings, allowing one to really learn the presentation of disease. This is a book all residents should have or be able to access if they cannot afford it. As most textbooks of dermatology have limited photos that may not be of the highest quality, the Andrews' Skin Clinical Atlas makes a very valuable addition. I should say, in the interest of full disclosure, I contributed about 2-3 photos to this book and I am a colleague of Dr. James. However, I had nothing to do with putting the book together.

Bill & Dirk's Andrew's text is much better than the atlas for the dermatology resident. Don't get me wrong, it isn't bad but it is expensive for what it is and really doesn't add too much to the normally used texts: Bologna & Andrew's. The only advantage of this atlas is that it is on inkling so allows for easier search (it was not indexed well) compared to better atlases liek Du Vivier. I don't think this contributes much to board studying other than that it is one of the few texts which have a normal non-pathological section of dermatopathology for different anatomical parts which are part of the material that you need to know for the boards.

Andrews’ Diseases of the Skin Clinical Atlas is an amazing resource for dermatology residents. I was so impressed with the number of pictures and wide breadth of diseases presented. When studying for the board exam, it is really important to look at as many pictures as possible (and know that you’re actually looking at pictures with the correct diagnosis— unlike random pictures that you google and are unverified). As someone who has recently taken the boards, you really can’t look at too many pictures when studying for this exam. This atlas provides an easy resource to flip through while studying and the images are not found anywhere else. Also, it’s nice that the resource includes adult and pediatric dermatology photos. I highly recommend it!!

Outstanding clinical atlas - great breadth and depth of cases. This is an essential adjunctive resource for learning dermatology. Beautiful picture quality - nice to see pictures representing a wide spectrum of age and skin color.

I founded this Atlas to be a very useful addition to my medical library. Edited by respected thought leaders in the field of dermatology, the book provides high quality images of rare and common skin disorders. The book will likely be very useful for all first line clinicians (internists, emergency room physicians, pediatricians) who often first encounter dermatologic disorders. The atlas also has excellent images of infectious dermatologic conditions, some of which are quite rare, and therefore would be useful for those who practice in international settings. I plan on referencing this book and using it as teaching tool for medical students and trainees. It would also be great for trainees studying for board examinations.

Very informative Dermatology Atlas with wide ranges of skin conditions and clear pictures. Highly recommended!
