Siri can make appointments, remind you to do something, set an alarm to wake you up, and set a timer when cooking. Siri can answer questions about the time, the weather, movies, and many many other things. Once you get the hang of it, you can even just chat with Siri when you are board.I have worked with computers for 34 years, and there has always been the idea that someday we will just ask a computer for information instead of writing a program, or constructing a query. However, computers (and smart phones) must have very precise instructions to perform correctly. Good news, Siri is surprisingly flexible in understanding our requests.This book does three important things for us. It is an excellent review of all of the things Siri can do. It explains what is required from us to get Siri's cooperation. It gives multiple examples for each function. This is the most immediately useful how-to book I have ever read.

I finally learned the power of Siri by using this book. OMG!I never realized how much you can do with Siri. This book is worth it's weight in gold...I am so happy I purchased this book.

I still am learning how to to dictate or need a Speech Pathologist... Hints on what to use Siri for are still developing.

Everything this book told me, I already knew. There are still many things I want to learn, even if it is to learn that it can't be done yet. But none of those things were covered. I don't need to learn how to ask Siri stupid questions and get silly answers. I don't need Siri to help me social network.I do need Siri to write accurate notes, and do quick math. I need tips on how to say things to get the most accurate results. Most of all I need to be able to spell out words that Siri doesn't understand, and have her send links to on-line info back to my email. The book was not helpful with any of this. I need my own personal Siri trainer or an interactive internet class.

As I highly respect Bro. MacArthur and will buy the book, I have one complaint. Whenever I look at a book I always check the preview. Without fail I always check the table of contents. So what gives? Giving a little too much away if the whole table of contents is provided as in most books?

N. Gregory Mankiw is Robert M. Beren Professor of Economics at Harvard University. He studied economics at Princeton University and MIT. Dr. Mankiw is a prolific writer and a regular participant in academic and policy debates. His research includes work on price adjustment, consumer behavior, financial markets, monetary and fiscal policy, and economic growth. I am a college student and had to rent or purchase this book for one of my classes. When I received the book, it looked distressed, but I needed the book right then and there. After the second week of having it, I noticed how the pages started to pop out just by turning the pages. Fast forward a week later and chapter 3 is completely unattached from the book. Luckily we are not going to read chapter 4, and skipped ahead to chapter 10, but if we did chapter 4 would be falling out as well. I would really appreciate it if the staff or someone really looked at the books before they send them out because now I'm worried that I might lose chapter 3 all together and will be charged for damaging the book when all I've done is turn the pages.Don't get me wrong this book itself is great, but the physical quality is REALLY BAD!

No need for hard cover text. You're literally paying 4 to 5x the amount to just have the pages boned together. When they say looseleaf they don't mean flimsy pages this is text book pages with a cover and outer page with 3 ring binder holes. I had a 2in binder and placed the pages in there and it worked perfectly. I saved so much money and it's brand new in plastic wrap so no one ever owned it before. I wish all my text books were like this!

[Rental]The book information is indeed helpful and exactly what i needed for my class BUT! The condition of the book as a rental copy is way to beaten up. Let me explain how it is imagine a text book back in high... no middle school all written over and drawn on but what makes this somewhat worse is that the book has been cut on the back and on the sides heavily damaged, it has man different highlighted marks as well as many different hand writings and as a bonus it comes with some bookmark tabs . Some of it is literally taped together. In all its a text book that would have cost me a fortune but instead it cost me $20 so as long as it doesn't break apart from a light use it should be fine.

If buying for college, check with professor before buying. I return the book because the professor required the software that accompanies the book.

I took this course online and regretted it. I I think the book would have been fine for an in-person class. Interaction with an instructor would have been helpful to understand some of this book.

This textbook is great. The way it is structured is very linear. The info is clearly stated with lots of simple examples. Lastly, the authors humor comes though and makes the book more fun to read.I am teaching my self for a CLEP exam and I am about a third through the book. I haven't used other macroeconomics textbooks but in regards to other textbooks of any subject this is easily one of the best. Highly recommended.

To experience a different culture (which of course I have through other reads), but also knowing about the Cherry Blossom and how it came to be saved was a brilliant experience.The story starts in 1907, when Collingwood “Cherry” Ingram fell in love with the sakura or the cherry tree, as he was visiting Japan on his honeymoon. He was taken in with the tree to such an extent that he couldn’t help but bring back hundreds of cuttings back to England, where he literally grew them, creating a garden of cherry varieties. In fact, in 1926 when he learned that the cherry tree was extinct in Japan, he sent a cutting of his own through the Trans-Siberian express. Not only that, Ingram also ensured that cuttings were sent to other parts of the world, where it was conducive to grow the specimen.This in short is what the book is about. However, there is so much more to it. Abe writes elegantly, and not only that – the research is spot on – with photographs, details, linking of other events, and personal perspectives. At times, I also felt that I was actually reading a historical novel, it is so well-written.The Sakura Obsession is what it is because Abe understands Ingram’s motivations, his complex nature – the oddity and the gentleness and that’s what makes this book so unique and refreshing. The Sakura Obsession tells a story that most people aren’t aware of – of how it took one man to save blossoms people enjoy over the world and are in awe of. I am only too glad that I got out of my comfort zone and read this one.

The Radical Book for Kids is different than any other children's book out there today. I have children of my own and have taught children in my church for almost 20 years. I am very familiar with what is out there today. For years I have wished that someone would write a book that tells me EVERYTHING about God and the life he gave us. Not just the stories of Noah and Jonah (although this book has them). I wanted a book that goes deep into the context of the Bible and this world. A book that helps you understand your life and the life of those the Bible was written to. Well I'm happy to see that someone finally wrote that book. This something that our church needs. A book that shares the Gospel and surrounds it with lots of background that a child will eat up. Having said that, this book is more than just a children's book. It will be a timeless resource for any age. I also appreciate the format of the book. Each chapter is about 2-5 pages. Wisdom can be found in the pages whether you have 5 minutes or the afternoon.

I bought two copies of this book for my two oldest kids for Easter. I am impressed. This book hits on everything you can imagine in regards to the Christian faith. There are chapters talking about how the Bible was put together, basic Greek, theologians, the Trinity, and on and on.The book is structured into over 60 short chapters, each about two or three pages, that cover particular topics. There are little questions, activities, and some wonderful art throughout the book. The book is highly readable (I would say ages 7 and up) so kids can use it on their own, or parents can work through it with them. The content is deep, but not hard to understand.Champ has truly done great work here. I cannot recommend this book enough.

Lives up to the hype. My pastor (Presbyterian church) highly recommended it in a sermon on January 2017...I think his exact words were "it will change your kid's lives and parents, too". I love reading this book with my son. I like how the book incorporates both the history of the Christian church and Bible as well as making it relatable to kids raised in the 2010s.One thing I didn't notice when purchasing online is how large and content-full this book would be. (It could have been separated into 5-6 books given it covers such a wide breadth). I'm happy however that the author just kept it in one book. Each page has a significant amount of applicable content as well as illustrations.

Great for adults as well as kids. Lots of information you may not think to research on your own, or maybe you did and it breaks it down in just a few pages at a time, with lots of verses to back up each subject. Great topics!My only issue - a couple of typos. One in particular is on page 142, which references 2 Samuel 25:18.There is no 2 Samuel 25. The verse is supposed to be 1 Samuel 25:18.We enjoy this book and use it in our daily homeschool lessons. I love all the extra activities and again, am impressed at the variety of topics and the way the book communicates God’s truths for our lives.

Love it! A friend loaned me a copy when I told her I was preparing an overview of the Bible for the adult groups I minister to. She had bought copies for each of her grandchildren. I was amazed at this Bible resource and had to buy her another copy because I didn't want to return hers!

This books is amazing. I am the director of our church library and purchased this book first for the library after it was recommended to me. Within 5 minutes of looking through this book at work, I purchased one for my 9 year old daughter. It's a fantastic mixture of great information in a kid friendly and fun way without cheapening the message.

My 9 year old son grabbed this book as soon as it arrived, but then quickly tossed it aside because it wasn’t “about science”.I showed him the page that involves the Hebrew alphabet and Star Wars characters and then left it open on the couch at another page I thought he’d find interesting.A few hours of reading later, he’s asking for more books about the Bible, especially if they’re by the same author, and taking this one to bed to continue reading. I count that a success. Thanks for writing such an engaging book!
